Growth process

I understand if it is a growth process then why are dead flowers included. I thought drawing dead flowers involved allow this painting to be more realistic. It allows it to be more realistic because the process of growth eventually dies out. I understand escapism allows you to break free from where you are, but if a flower can show a process they may have many stories to why they are flowers that are dead in my painting.
