Towards the inside of my music door, I wanted to focus on these four groups and or artists. The first one I sketch is about Erick Sermon and Parish Smith Making Dollars (EPMD). EPMD brought the funk into Hip Hop and started to sampled artists such as Jams Brown and Rock music such as Erick Clapton.
The second one I focus on is Red Man. Red Man is one of the most influential underground master of ceremonies (rapper) to this day founded by EPMD. I picked this master of ceremonies because Red Mans music message to the fans is who you are no matter what people think about you. Although he would give messages such as sexual protection in life in your open areas all his messages got across to the fans through his music and his comedy way.
The third sketch is based on Metal Face Doom (MF Doom) which as a person he is Dr. Doom the villain in the fantastic for comics. I picked MF Doom because he is also a heavy influential MC that his fans look at him a king of underground hip hop die to his beats, rhythms, and schemes. MF was influenced by Red Man. His beats are what can get people to be upset into feeling his beat that can change their whole mood expression.
My fourth sketch was based on the Wu-Tang Clan that is a Hip Hop music group of nine members that brought the streets to your ears, whether it was from drug dealing or hustling. This group was a great group to put on a door because there are a lot of teenagers who commit suicide based on who they are surrounded by or based on what they had. Many of these teenagers lose their life due to one mistake and don’t realize that music can change their life. Which is why this group Was one of the first group to show that that street life wasn’t the only way of life to the urban/streets. WU tang changes the direction hip-hop was going into more rugged and real-life music where it was the most influential out of all these master ceremonies groups.
